Palio di Siena

Its too difficult to explain in a nutshell the magic of the Palio of Siena, in fact I would venture to say impossible task it! The Palio is not what we all see with the eyes of tourists, but that's what every person of Siena lives with the heart. We should start to talk about Siena, its districts, its rivalries, its history and its love for these walls that surround this pristine world. The Palio, to savor it, live it and feel it should be lived within 12 months a year, 24 hours a day, in his quarters, at dinner parties in the street, in fights in the Piazza del Campo, in the toasts with the friends of a lifetime, in prayer in the church before the hourse race, in the expectations behind the door of the barn where is the horse assigned by fate. Just so you can understand the emotions, tears of anger and joy, tensions and all the feeling that moving a city still attached to its traditions and its beloved Palio.

This is the Palio of July 2, 2013 in honor of the Madonna of Provenzano.
